I wish Avalanche Kidz existed when my son was younger. This organization caters to neurodiverse children and adults. The program gives them acceptance, accomplishment, exercise and most importantly having fun without feeling not wanted. My son Alex is 30 years old, and he is having a blast he has gained confidence, determination and has made friends. I also want to say this program has dedicated volunteers and have so much patience with the children. I saw at one practice a child who did not want to get up from the ice. The coach was lying down next to the child talking to him helping him calm down until he got up. This brought tears to my eyes. I highly recommend Avalanche Kidz an amazing program and with dedicated volunteers who care and are there for the right reasons. Go Avalanche Kidz

The first time I heard about the Avalanche Kidz Hockey Development Program was at a “Walk for Autism” event back in 2022. What immediately stood out to me was how amazing Coach Vinnie was with the kids. He let them free-play while offering tips on passing and scoring. The passion in his eyes was unforgettable—he genuinely cared for these kids.
My son Anthony, who is on the autism spectrum, showed an interest in hockey, but I was hesitant to enroll him in a traditional hockey league because of his challenges with gross and fine motor skills. However, once Anthony joined Avalanche Kidz, everything changed. He improved his skating, learned to pass, and began to understand and engage more with the game. He was thrilled!
The coaching staff at Avalanche Kidz is incredible—they truly care about the children, and that meant the world to me and my family. From the very beginning, the Avalanche Kidz family welcomed Anthony with open arms. It was so heartwarming to see him embraced and supported in such a positive environment.
I am so happy that he gets to be part of an organization that prioritizes inclusivity and gives all kids the chance to develop their skills while enjoying our nation’s favorite sport.
Recently, Anthony was selected to be part of the Air Canada Fan Flight Program because of his involvement with Avalanche Kidz. This gave us the opportunity of a lifetime: watching the Montreal Canadiens play in Dallas—and win! Anthony even got to meet the players and the head coach. It was an unforgettable experience that he, and we as a family, will cherish forever. Seeing him in the spotlight, happy and proud, was incredibly rewarding for all of us.
Thank you, Avalanche Kidz, for all that you do!
